I am Duncan McCloud, of the Clan McCloud, and I have lived for over 400 years.  No one knows me quite so well as my friend Joe.  He is a Watcher, one of those dedicated memebers of a group that keeps track of Immortals like myself.  I think the thing I like most about Joe is his laid-back style and his love of the Blues.   Now Methos is another story.  He was a legend among both other Immortals and Watchers alike.  Over 5,000 years old and no one has taken his head yet......yet! I think that it is safe to say that both Methos and myself  would find it hard to explain to Mortals what happens when we take another Immortal's head.  At the moment of the Quickening, awesome power is released around us.  Quite often it has been very destructive to anything close by when the Quickening occurs.  Just imagine the energy that is released from one lightning strike, and then multiply that over and over in a concentrated area.  
 
As you can see, it is an overwhelming display of immense energy being released.  Now just imagine what it feels like to be in the middle of such a violent storm.
